We’re so grateful to welcome you to our Summer 2026 Casa Retreat — six days created to slow down, reconnect, and arrive more fully into yourself.
Nestled in the rolling countryside of southern France, Almières offers a peaceful sanctuary where open skies, wildflower meadows, and centuries-old landscapes invite a slower way of being.
This experience blends daily movement, nourishing meals, meaningful connection, time in nature, opportunities to experience the culture and beauty of the region, and spacious moments of rest — designed to support presence, renewal, and a deeper connection to yourself.
This guide is here to help you feel grounded and prepared before arrival. Inside you'll find travel information, packing guidance, retreat details, and everything you need to know before joining us in France. While a few details may evolve as we get closer, the heart and rhythm of the retreat will remain the same.

A few helpful notes to support your arrival — the rest is an invitation to settle into the rhythm of the French countryside.
Your full itinerary, final travel details, and retreat schedule will be shared approximately 30 days before departure.
01 · TRAVEL
Getting to Almières
Everything you need to know about flights, airport transfers, and arriving at Almières in the French countryside.
Traveler information form
Please complete the Traveler Information Form at your earliest convenience. This will include your flight details, dietary needs, movement history, massage requests, and any important notes that will help us prepare for your arrival.
If you have not yet booked your flights, you can still complete the form and simply email us your flight information once confirmed.
Travel note: We recommend coordinating around the suggested Paris Orly to Rodez flights so your transfer to Almières is as seamless as possible.
02 · PACKING
Weather, countryside rhythm & packing
July is one of the most beautiful times of year in southern France, with long sunny days, warm afternoons, and cooler evenings. Since Almières is located at roughly 1,500 feet above sea level, temperatures tend to feel milder than in Paris.
Packing essentials
PACKING SUGGESTIONS
Clothing
- Lightweight, breathable clothing (linen, cotton, easy layers)
- Comfortable yoga attire (for daily movement, meditation, and retreat activities)
- Light layers for cooler mornings and evenings (sweater, wrap, or light jacket)
- Comfortable attire for dinners (relaxed, elevated, and easy)
- Comfortable walking shoes (for countryside walks, village visits, and excursions)
- Swimsuit (for pool, spa, sauna, steam room, or Nordic bath moments)
- Sun hat or cap
Personal Essentials
- Passport (required for travel)
- Reusable water bottle
- Toiletry bag
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Phone charger and European travel adapter
- Hairdryers are available in guest rooms
- Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash will be provided in each bathroom (you are welcome to bring your own if preferred)
- Travel-size first aid kit (optional)
- Eye mask & earplugs (recommended for light sleepers)
- Book or light reading for downtime
- Journal or notebook

- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Small day bag or tote
- Insect repellent (optional, especially for evenings outdoors)
- Light rain layer (rain is unlikely, but a small layer is always useful)
Yoga & Wellness
- Yoga clothing suitable for daily practice
- Comfortable layers for meditation or sound bath
- Any personal props you prefer (optional)
- Any supplements or medications you use regularly
Weather note: As we get closer to the retreat dates, we will keep you updated if weather predictions change.
03 · RETREAT FLOW
Daily rhythm, excursions, and what to expect
Daily rhythm
This retreat has been intentionally designed to create space for rest, movement, meaningful connection, and immersion in the beauty and culture of the region.
- Morning: Gentle movement, yoga, meditation, and breakfast.
- Midday: Spacious time for rest, countryside exploration, optional spa treatments, or curated activities.
- Evening: A slower return to the property with evening yoga, dinner, stillness, conversation, or an evening gathering.
SCHEDULE
The full retreat itinerary will be shared upon arrival, so you’ll have a clear sense of the flow of each day and the experiences planned.
FREE TIME
Free time is intentionally woven throughout the retreat. Everything is optional — you’re invited to rest, explore, read, walk, connect, or simply be.

Beyond our daily retreat rhythm, you'll have opportunities to experience the region through thoughtfully curated cultural and nature-based experiences designed to deepen your connection to both place and self.

Optional wellness sessions
Optional paid wellness experiences may be available during the retreat, including massage sessions.
Guests may request either a 60-minute or 90-minute massage through the Traveler Information Form. We recommend noting your interest in advance so the team can support scheduling where possible.
04 · AT ALMIÈRES
Property notes, meals, support, and contact
The property
Almières — our retreat home for the week — is a peaceful countryside estate nestled among rolling hills, open skies, gardens, and the natural beauty of southern France.
Days here unfold gently. Mornings begin quietly, meals are shared slowly, and the surrounding landscape invites you to move through the week with more ease and presence.
We encourage you to give yourself time to settle into the rhythm of the estate. Many guests find that one of the most meaningful parts of the experience is simply allowing themselves to slow down enough to fully appreciate where they are.
Shared spaces, amenities, and a few simple notes to support comfort, ease, and relaxation throughout your stay.
AMENITIES
Guests are welcome to enjoy the following throughout the retreat:
- Sauna and steam room
- Nordic outdoor bath with panoramic countryside views
- Robes and towels available for spa and wellness use
- Yoga and movement spaces
- Indoor and outdoor gathering areas
- Dining terraces and communal tables
- Walking trails and surrounding countryside
- Nearby hiking trails
- Farm, garden, orchard, or food-growing area on the property
- Reading areas and lounge spaces
- Quiet spaces for reading, journaling, and rest
Spa note: The Nordic outdoor bath is available for guest use throughout the retreat. The sauna and steam room will have designated access hours, which will be shared on site.
YOGA & WELLNESS SPACES
Yoga, meditation, workshops, and community gatherings will take place throughout the property in spaces intentionally chosen to support presence, connection, and ease. Mats and practice props will be provided for all scheduled movement sessions.
COMMON AREAS & PRIVATE SPACES
The estate includes shared indoor and outdoor spaces designed for conversation, relaxation, dining, and connection throughout the week.
While the retreat is rooted in community, we also deeply value personal space. Guests are encouraged to enjoy both shared moments and quiet time in whatever balance feels most supportive.
Guest accommodations are private spaces reserved for those staying in them, and we kindly ask that rooms remain personal to support comfort and privacy for all guests.
QUIET HOURS & CONSIDERATION
10:30 PM – 7:30 AM
To support rest and restoration, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of noise in shared spaces during these hours. Maintaining a peaceful atmosphere helps ensure everyone can fully enjoy the retreat experience.

PROPERTY FEATURES
Almières offers a peaceful countryside setting with walking trails, nearby hiking trails, reading areas, lounge spaces, and a farm, garden, orchard, or food-growing area on the property.
WELLNESS FACILITIES
One of the property's standout features is the Nordic outdoor bath with panoramic views. Guests will also have access to the sauna and steam room, with robes and towels available for wellness use.
The Nordic bath may be used throughout the retreat. The sauna and steam room will have a few designated access hours, which will be shared during the week.
SIMPLE NOTES
There are no hammocks, bicycles, outdoor games, animals, restricted guest areas, or seasonal experiences currently noted for this retreat.
Housekeeping, laundry & countryside living
LAUNDRY
Laundry service is not available during the retreat. We recommend packing accordingly for the duration of your stay.
HOUSEKEEPING
Guest rooms will be refreshed throughout the retreat to support a comfortable stay. Fresh linens and towels will be available as needed.
BATHROOM AMENITIES
Hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash will be available in guest bathrooms. You are also welcome to bring your own preferred products if you choose.
COUNTRYSIDE LIVING
Almières is located in a peaceful rural region of southern France surrounded by forests, open fields, wildlife, and natural landscapes. Being immersed in nature is one of the most beautiful parts of the experience.
You may encounter birds, insects, changing weather patterns, and the natural sounds of the countryside throughout your stay. We encourage you to embrace these elements as part of the experience of slowing down and reconnecting with nature.
WATER & UTILITIES
Drinking water will be available throughout the property and we encourage guests to carry a reusable water bottle throughout the week.
As with many historic countryside properties, occasional variations in water pressure or internet connectivity may occur. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.
TOWELS
Fresh towels will be available throughout your stay. Towels and robes will also be available for the spa and wellness facilities.
Food & dining
MEALS
Meals throughout the week will be nourishing, seasonal, and thoughtfully prepared. The dining experience is intended to feel grounding, satisfying, and connected to the rhythm of the French countryside.
Dietary needs shared with us through your Traveler Information Form will be communicated to the culinary team in advance.
COFFEE, TEA & HYDRATION
Coffee, tea, and drinking water will be available throughout the retreat. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to keep with you during practices, walks, and excursions.
ALCOHOL
Wine is part of the local culture in France and may be available during select meals or experiences. Participation is always optional, and we encourage each guest to make choices that feel supportive of their own retreat experience.
Additional purchases, gratuities & cash
CASH & PAYMENT
We recommend bringing some euros for optional purchases, personal expenses, village visits, massages, or any additional wellness services that may become available.
While many places in France accept cards, having a small amount of cash on hand is always helpful when traveling through smaller towns and rural areas.
GRATUITIES
Gratuity is not included in the retreat package. If you feel called to offer gratuity to members of the team, it is warmly appreciated but never required.
Cash gratuities in euros are preferred and may be given directly to the individuals you would like to thank.

Throughout the retreat, both the Casa Retreats team and the Life Beyond The Room team will be available to support you.

We’ll use the designated WhatsApp group for travel-day updates, group coordination, and retreat communication.
