Wherever you are flying from

Your travel window.

Zakynthos has its own airport, about 10 km and 20 minutes by car from the estate. There are no nonstop flights from the U.S., so from almost anywhere, fly into Athens, then take the hour-long connection on to Zakynthos.

Arrive

Sunday, August 29, 2027

Check-in at 4:00 PM

Choose a flight that lands on Zakynthos in time to collect your bags and make the short drive before check-in. Early check-in isn’t possible.

Depart

Saturday, September 4, 2027

Check-out at 10:00 AM

Choose a flight that leaves Zakynthos late that morning or later in the day.

Arriving the day before

A night on the island before the retreat gives you room for a late connection and a slower start. We are happy to suggest a hotel for that first night.

For a night before or after, we like Lesante Cape Resort & Villas, a Leading Hotels of the World property on the island.

Flying from another city

In summer, Zakynthos has nonstop flights from London and from European cities such as Frankfurt, Zurich and Brussels. Tell us where you are flying from and we will suggest flights that fit these times. Email us your city.

Flying from New York

One stop, through Athens.

For guests flying from New York, this is the routing we recommend: Delta nonstop from JFK to Athens, then SKY express for the short flight to Zakynthos. It lands on the morning of arrival day, and the return leaves after check-out.

The same driver service runs from the harbor to the estate: €50 for one or two, €60 for three to seven and €70 for a van of eight or more, per vehicle, one way, in cash, at 2026 rates. Check the Levante Ferries timetable before you plan.

Before you fly

Passports and entry.

Written for U.S. passport holders. If you travel on another passport, check the rules for your own country. Rules can change, so check the official pages below before you fly.

Passport
Valid for at least three months beyond the day you leave Europe. The U.S. Embassy suggests six months, to be safe.
Visa
Not needed for U.S. citizens on a visit of up to 90 days.
At the border
The EU’s Entry/Exit System takes your fingerprints and photo at your first airport in Europe, whether that is Athens or a connection elsewhere. Allow a little extra time at passport control.
ETIAS
The EU’s new travel authorization is not running yet. The EU expects it to start in the last quarter of 2026 and will announce the date several months ahead. If you need it, apply only on the EU’s official site. We will let registered guests know.
Travel advisory
Read the State Department’s current advisory for Greece before you book and again before you fly.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel and cancellation insurance. The policy you choose is your own.

Before or after the week

Stay a little longer.

Arriving early gives you a buffer for your connections. Staying on gives you more of Greece.

Getting to and from the estate

We can help with the rest.

If you arrive early or stay on, we can help you plan the transfers between your hotel, the airport and the estate. Pre and post retreat travel is planned and billed separately. Tell us your plans.
