Casa Retreats

Privacy policy

The short version: we keep what you share with us so we can reply, host you well and stay in touch. We don't sell it. You can ask us to change or delete it any time.

Who we are

Casa Retreats LLC is a small retreat company registered in Florida, USA. This site is casaretreats.com. If anything here raises a question, write to info@casaretreats.com and Lauren will answer.

What we collect

What you give us. When you send an inquiry, book a call, join the list or reserve a place, we receive what you type: your name, email, phone number, where you're coming from, the retreat and room you're interested in, how you heard about Casa, and anything you add in a message. If you book, we also hold your signed agreement and your payment history. If you choose to tell us about dietary needs, allergies, injuries or anything else that helps us host you, we keep that too, and we treat it with care.

What we don't hold. Card and bank details go straight to our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.

What the site collects on its own. Like most websites, this one uses cookies and similar tools to understand how people move through it: pages visited, rough location, device, and where you came from. Some of that is used to measure whether our ads on Instagram and Facebook are reaching the right people.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, and to hold the conversation that comes before a booking.
  • To run the retreat you're attending: the room, the meals, the transfers, the small details.
  • To send the occasional letter about upcoming retreats, if you've joined the list. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and it works.
  • To keep the records a business is required to keep: contracts, invoices, taxes.
  • To understand what on the site is useful, and to make it better.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the people and tools that help us do the work above, and only as much as they need:

  • Squarespace, which hosts this site.
  • Dubsado, where inquiries, agreements and invoices live.
  • Stripe and PayPal, which process payments.
  • Mailchimp, which sends our letters.
  • Calendly, which books the introductory call.
  • Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) and Meta (the Facebook and Instagram pixel), which measure how the site and our ads perform.
  • The venue, chef and teachers hosting the retreat you've booked, for the details they need to look after you: your name, arrival time, room, and any dietary or health notes you've asked us to pass on.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing. If the law requires us to disclose something, we will, and we'll tell you if we're allowed to.

Cookies and how to say no

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though a few things may be less smooth. To opt out of ads measurement you can also use Meta's ad preferences and Google's ad settings. We honor the choices you make there.

Where your information is kept

We're based in the United States, and the tools above store information there and in other countries where they operate. If you're writing to us from the EU, UK or elsewhere, your information will be handled in the US under this policy.

How long we keep it

Inquiry and conversation records stay while we're in touch and for a reasonable time after, so we recognize you if you come back. Booking records (agreements, invoices, payments) are kept for as long as tax and legal rules require, usually seven years. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us, at any time, to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from the list with the link in any email. If you're in the EU or UK you have the rights set out in the GDPR, and if you're in California you have the rights set out in the CCPA; email us and we'll honor them without fuss. Write to info@casaretreats.com.

Guests under 18

Our retreats and this site are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Keeping it safe

We use trusted providers, limit who can see what, and keep access to a very small team. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care, and we'll tell you if something goes wrong with your information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Nothing changes quietly.
